Environmental economics

A branch of the subject concerned with how best to manage the use of natural resources and to mitigate the effects of climate change on populations across the world. Environmental economists believe that more importance should be given in protecting our natural capital and in making economic growth more sustainable and inclusive. Kate Raworth is a leading environmental economist, in 2017 she published a new book Doughnut Economics which makes the case for reforming economics and giving sustainability significantly higher weighting.
