Sustainable Farming - Challenges for Indian Farming

This World Bank clip looks at sustainability, and how climate change is impacting Indian agriculture.
It reveals how the effects of climate changes are exacerbated by the unintended effects of government policy.
It's an interesting insight into how policy issues are interlinked, and how appropriate policy can improve the prospects for sustainable development.
And there's more - this time looking at the importance of transport infrastructure to development. A road building project in rural India has boosted growth, improved access to education and healthcare, and made it easier to connect rural villages to markets as a result of the World Bank's Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana project.
