How to stop plastic getting into the ocean

This is a really powerful Economist film about one group's work in tackling the issue of marine pollution and plastic waste.

There are some horrific pictures of rivers clogged with plastic and vivid descriptions of the extent to which plastic pollution is a menace, as well as cautious optimism about some of the innovative solutions being developed.

However, as yet, these sorts of initiatives are just a 'drop in the ocean' and if we're serious about tackling this negative externality, which has already entered the food chain, then there's still much to do.
