The following article from The Guardian explores the metals that are used in mobile phones, and the impact of mining for these.

Aside from mobile phones, cobalt is used in laptops and in jet engines. Many of the individuals involved in the mining of this metal are children and the communities surrounding these mines do not often see the profits from the sales to manufacturing companies.

This article could be used within the Global Development unit (deprivation, ethnicity).
