Professor Green’s recent documentary (here profiled by Channel 4 News) looks at why white working class males are failing to engage with the education system.

The following article provides some more information. The Sutton Trust, an education charity who found that whilst poverty an impact on educational achievement, there are other factors at play. Social and cultural influences could also affect how students experience school and how they perform, such as parental aspiration.
