Crime Rates in London

According to Home Office figures, crime is on the increase in London.
A number of people have been murdered and injured in what people believe are gang-related crimes. Community leaders have organised protests around police stations in some areas of the city to plead for an end to the killings.
Many of the victims of the violence are from ethnic minorities, with the majority coming from black communities.
