The UK government has increased corporation tax from 19% to 25% from April 2023. This is the first increase in corporation tax in over a decade. The government has said that the increase is necessary to raise revenue to fund public services. But will it have damaging effects on the UK macroeconomic performance? This short revision video looks at some of the arguments of an important fiscal policy decision.
