Are CEO salaries out of control?

One of my favourite topics - executive pay - with the cost of living crisis doing nothing to halt the surge in executive pay in both the UK and the US.
If even the Financial Times are asking whether this is morally defensible, you might start to have some doubts about the underlying economics - and that's reflected in an increasing number of shareholder revolts.
In 2020, it was estimated that the CEO-to-worker compensation ratio was 351.1 in the United States
