For students hoping to achieve the top marks and grades at A Level Sociology, they should (in theory) complete extension work outside of the content taught in lessons but also from their course textbooks/study notes.
Adam recently wrote a fabulous post about the use of podcasts, but I would also advocate wider reading in particular areas of theory and methods within sociology. Wider reading provides a window into some of the research and deeper theoretical concepts behind key ideas and The Guardian published a ‘Top 10’ list of Feminist texts from the 20th century, which could act as a good start for some students.
