Economic Abuse
11th February 2019
Economic abuse is one form of abuse that can occur in relationships and this is explored in this article from The Guardian.
The article highlights the lack of information available about economic abuse, but it is believed that around 1/5 people in the population have experienced it at some point.
The article could be used within the Families and Households unit, as well as for Crime and Deviance. Students could discuss why national figures may be misleading (or simply unavailable) for this area within both units.
