Behind closed doors: Filipina workers trapped by the pandemic

This episode from Today in Focus examines the impact of the pandemic on Filipino women working as domestic helpers in the UK.
Approximately one third of citizens from the Philippine's work in 'elementary jobs' including domestic work, and a significant number of which work in the UK often for wealthy families. This episode includes an interview with Mimi who is one of these women working in London, she earns £5 an hour working full time for one family.
The pandemic has resulted in many domestic helpers taking on a greater level of work including assisting with home schooling while others have lost their jobs.
