The following video looks at superpower nations.

It begins with a quick history of some of the world’s superpowers (e.g., Roman Empire) and then explores which country may hold the title in the future.

The video distinguishes between hard and soft power. The former usually refers to power gained from military means such as an army, whereas the latter refers to cultural or economic influence.

The video could be used for the Global Development unit.
