Which countries give and receive the most foreign aid?
10th December 2017
This Economist clip looks at the scale of foreign aid. It notes that whilst in absolute terms, the US gives the most of the £140bn, in relative terms, it's 0.17% of national income is a paltry sum and far less than other rich countries. And aid from that source isn't likely to increase any time soon. A useful primer when teaching the economics of aid as part of the A-level course.
