Effective group work through effective plenaries

Most of us have had lessons in which our students have been involved in group work, but the lesson hasn't quite gone to plan; maybe some students have contributed very little, maybe we didn't get the combination of students right, maybe social talk rather than learning talk has dominated, maybe students didn't really know what was expected of them and therefore they didn't know what to do.

Ruth has been Subject Lead in Economics at tutor2u for many years after a career of teaching Economics, Business, Politics and Maths in a range of secondary schools. She is a highly experienced A level Economics Examiner, and also teaches undergraduate Economics on a very part-time basis at the University of Oxford. Ruth is passionate about making economics fun, engaging and accessible.
