India’s top court overturned a ban on women entering a Hindu shrine in September, but protests outside have meant that women have been blocked from entering.
Most Hindu temples allow women to enter apart from when they are menstruating, whilst this temple (Sabarimala) banned women completely between the ages 10-50.
