Emma Watson and the HeForShe Campaign

One of the difficulties that students can often experience when studying sociological theory is making contemporary links; some theories can appear quite abstract and even outdated.
Therefore, the use of videos, research papers or articles to illustrate why the theory is still relevant in society today can be really helpful.
Many students may already be familiar with Emma Watson’s work with the United Nations and the ‘He for She’ campaign to bring men and women together in reducing gender inequalities around the world, but for those who aren’t, the following video will help introduce the key ideas.
