Facebook faces advertiser revolt over failure to address hate speech

A number of brands have suspended advertising their products on Facebook over a failure to combat hate speech.

Facebook is reported to make approximately $70billion in revenue from companies advertising on the site, with companies such as North Face and Patagonia halting paid advertising temporarily to support the "implementation of stricter policies to stop racist, violent and hateful content and misinformation from circulating on the Facebook platform".
