Best And Worst Countries For Democracy

The Economist Intelligence Unit has published their latest rankings for the strength of democracies across the world. It will come as no surprise that North Korea languishes at the foot of the table, but who comes top?
Some of the criteria used includes the extent and protection of civil liberties, the electoral process and pluralism alongside measures of political participation and political culture. The latest data finds that less than half the world's population live in some form of democracy.
