Zero progress in tackling school access
6th September 2017
A really important developmental article here, highlighting the lack of progress towards improving schooling for the poorest countries in the world. This is a vital component of inclusive development and is likely to limit future economic growth.
UNICEF blames "pervasive levels of poverty", conflict and humanitarian emergencies for this and believes that there needs to be a concerted attempt to improve access to education, especially in sub-Saharan Africa.
