Hysteresis - Generation Y bear the scars of the Global Financial Crisis

The Resolution Foundation has published new research indicating that so-called Generation Y adults are worse off than their predecessors, earning less, and struggling to afford property in the UK, in comparison with their US counterparts. It's another example of intergenerational inequality, and paints a picture of an economy that hasn't really recovered post the 2008 financial crisis.
At age 30, the typical annual income for those born in the early 1980s was almost £1,400 lower than the incomes of those born 10 years earlier.
