On November 3, the Africa Growth Initiative at Brookings hosted a conversation on the new book “Africa’s Lions: Growth Traps and Opportunities for Six African Economies,” which examines the key constraints facing six African economies.

The transcript is a gold mine of contextual evidence and analysis for teachers looking at growth and development prospects in a group of six countries labelled Africa's Lions. These lions are South Africa, Mozambique, Kenya, Ethiopia, Nigeria, and Ghana.
