Free market economics on trial
17th October 2017
Ngaire Woods writes on the free market versus statist approach to economics.
She argues that "A new consensus is emerging that more active and effective government is required to boost growth and expand opportunity" and looks at the fact that both Labour and Conservatives are looking to explore higher levels of interventionism.
And the closing summary of her current position misses out something important - she's also a former presenter of "The Money Programme". But that rather ages me.
