The Insurance Pile is a free interactive challenge that makes a dry topic genuinely engaging. Students face eight different bad days, a flat fire, a broken leg abroad, a storm-damaged roof, and match each to the cover that would have helped, from buildings and contents to travel, life and critical illness. Some disasters need two policies, and some, like a cracked phone screen, are covered by nothing at all, which is a lesson in itself.
