This is a great activity to use to review and categorise the different sociological theories presented in the Theory and Methods section of the AQA A-level Sociology specification. This set is targeted at students in Year 12.
In Theory Pyramids, students are given the three category strips and the theory cards. They have to identify which theory belongs to which category in the first instance.
Once this has been achieved, they then have to sort the key term cards to match the theories.
Some cards will work with more than one theory - this allows students to compare and contrast different perspectives of studying society.
