Votes for Women: 100 Years
13th February 2018
Last week saw the centenary of the vote for (some) women in the UK. The change in the law (Representation of the People Act, 1918) allowed some other groups of men to vote also.
There were a range of news stories about this important event with many focusing on the sacrifices that many women (and some men) made to encourage the government to change the law.
