The British Census

This story was flagged on our Facebook page last week about the household census.
The census is taken every 10 years and records a number of areas of life within British society from the number of people living in a household, religion to approximate salaries.
Households are required by law to complete the census, although this falls to a 80% completion rate in some areas of the country. The 2021 Census is expected to cost nearly £1bn, therefore the government is proposing alternative ways of collecting the data such as as through council tax records and driving licenses.
