Matchmaking with a Chatbot
29th November 2017
Finding love and romance has changed dramatically in the past ten years or so, where once, couples may have been ‘set up’ by a family member, friend or acquaintance, or met through work, technology has capitalised and attempted to meet the needs of people seeking relationships, but perhaps without the time or opportunities to do so.
Dating/relationship platforms invariably use algorithms to help match people and now chatbots are assisting the process. Things have moved on a long way from the lonely-hearts advert in newspapers!
The following article could be used as part of a discussion about the changes in society in regards to technology and relationships. However, it’s not just romantic relationships where technology is helping people meet other people, there are also other apps/websites for finding friends.
