The following article from The Guardian explores some of the issues raised in a new documentary entitled H is for Harry.
The film follows a boy called Harry who struggles with reading and writing at the start of secondary school. Issues that are discussed in the film include: class, gender and ethnicity in relation to educational achievement.
The article could be used within the Education unit.
At the time of writing, I haven't seen this documentary so if anyone does watch it please let us know at Tutor2u if you think it would be suitable viewing for students studying sociology.
