A handful have been chosen in this weekend's newspaper

I have already blogged about the virtues of podcast listening with regards to beefing up a university application. For the purposes of this blog, with respect to a Politics application. But the same could be said, of course, for any undergraduate option.

But there must be virtues to listening to them in their own right, given that the telecoms regulator reckons that at least 12% of the UK adult population plug into one podcast each week. There are lot of people applying to university, but not that many!

Anyway, the i carried a feature on Saturday listing their 50 favourites, on a whole range of topics, from sport to film. Among those were five on the subject of politics. Such is the nature of the difference between print and digital versions of papers, it took me a while to find the feature online, but here is the link: https://inews.co.uk/news/media...

FiveThirtyEight Politics Podcast

Stand-up comedian Matt Forde offers an enjoyable peek behind the scenes in Westminster and beyond. Forde is well versed in the world of politics, having spent time as a political adviser himself.
