​Gradients

Gradient is another word for "slope". The greater the gradient of a graph at a point, the steeper the line (or tangent line) is at that point. The gradient of a line (or tangent line) is found using the following formula:

Gradient of line (or tangent line) = (change in y)/(change in x).
