Bringing together our favourite Solving Quadratic Equations videos makes learning a breeze!

Solving quadratic equations involves using a range of techniques to find a value (or values) of x which satisfy the equation. These values of x are known as 'roots' of the equation and would be the x coordinates of the point(s) where the graph of the equation crosses the x axis.

These videos show solving quadratic equations by factorising only.

Solving quadratics by factorising

These three videos show how to solve quadratic equations by factorising. Each video gets progressively more difficult as the presenter digs deeper into the subject.

How to Solve Quadratic Equations by Factoring

This is a great video which shows a different approach to factorising when the coefficient of x2 is not 1. This technique is systematic and made very clear in the video (the American presenter, Nancy, uses the word "factoring" instead of the English equivalent, "factorising").
