Turkey seeks to escape the Middle Income Trap

Here is a link to a new IMF staff paper focusing on the challenges for Turkey as it seeks to move beyond middle income status and join the ranks of advanced, high income countries. According to the IMF, "Turkey is going through a time of economic transition, with slowing growth that risks the country being caught in a "middle-income trap," unable to join the ranks of high income economies. "
