A remittance is money sent home by migrant workers. In 2014, migrant workers sent home a whopping $580bn. Why are remittances so important, especially in LEDCs, and why are remittance flows in trouble?

She is a highly experienced A level Economics Examiner, and also teaches undergraduate Economics on a very part-time basis at the University of Oxford.
