Tesla takes stake in a nickel mine

Tesla has made an interesting move to secure its nickel supplies, taking a stake in a New Caledonian nickel mine.
It's not vertical backwards integration - because its not a complete takeover - but it has the same effect in securing a source of supply, and denying it to its competitors.
