Renewable Energy Economics - first commercial offshore wind farm in the US

The United States has entered the market for offshore wind, with the first wind farms being built, with the hope being that ultimately it will house the most powerful wind turbines in the world, greening America's electricity generation. Vineyard Wind, at the coast of Massachusetts, will have the world’s most powerful wind turbines.
Are floating wind turbines the way forward? Certainly it seems to be an increasingly popular form of offshore wind power, and one that overcomes some of the apparent problems that people have with fixed wind turbines. Read more in this article in the Guardian.
