Speakers include:

• Jennifer Brandsberg-Engelman, the Project Lead for Regenerative Economics in Secondary Schools. She works to support national and international curriculum authorities to shift paradigms in economics education. Jennifer will be introducing her work and the concept of regenerative economics, and helping delegates to actively explore how they can embed more of these ideas into the A level economics curriculum, within the boundaries of the specifications and assessments.
• Ramin Nassehi, an Associate Professor (Teaching) of Economics at University College London. Ramin’s economics expertise is in Economic History, brought to life by his UCL Economics Walks, and International Economics including political economy. His education research interests are in place-based teaching, producing engaging multimedia approaches to communicating economics and encouraging interaction in large group teaching. He is also a member of the CORE Economics team. Find out more about Ramin here. Ramin will be helping delegates to explore place-based learning as a means of teaching the A level curriculum.
• George Vlachonikolis, an Assistant Head with expertise in educational assessment and staff development, particularly initial teacher training. His subject specialisms are in economics and financial literacy, and his teaching philosophy grounded in dialogue and social constructivism (oracy). George’s LinkedIn profile is available here. George will be guiding delegates through ideas for embedding stronger financial literacy and oracy skills into economics teaching.
• Ruth Tarrant, who is subject lead in economics at tutor2u, a Chair of Examiners for an A level awarding body, and lecturer in economics at the University of Oxford. She is a Fellow of the Royal Economic Society. Ruth’s LinkedIn profile is available here. She has a particular interest in the paradigms and nature of economic thought, and how appropriate economic tools are selected to help us solve problems. Ruth will be supporting delegates with designing questions and broad themes to help restructure the order and method of teaching economics in the A level classroom, and the development of higher order and critical thinking skills.
