Here is a summary of the A-Level Economics for the four leading exam boards for 2026. Full details on every subject can be found from our free exam results data explorer

Entries and Grades

  • Entries rose 10.3% vs 2025, to 46,257.
  • A*: 7.6% ▼ 0.6 pts vs 2025.
  • A*–A: 30.0% ▼ 0.5 pts vs 2025.
  • A*–E: 98.2% ▼ 0.1 pts vs 2025.
  • 31.7% of students were awarded a B grade
  • 21.3% of students were awarded a C grade

AQA: 154/240 (64%)

Edexcel: 265/335 (79%)

OCR: 168/240 (70%)

Eduqas 240/360 (67%)
