Offshore renewable energy tumbles in price

Offshore wind power is now cheaper than nuclear energy according to new statistics from the National Grid. Roger Harrabin reports here for BBC news. The price of offshore wind power has fallen by more than 50 per cent over the last two years as the scale and efficiency of giant turbines used in the sector has expanded. Naturally, Greenpeace is delighted!
