How China plans to lead the computer chip industry

Part of the BBC Rivals series, this clip looks at how China is looking to diversify its economy and engage in import substitution, by producing its own, high quality, computer chips.

The difficulty is that many experts think it will struggle to match the advances made by its rivals in this field, notably Qualcomm. At the moment there is no Chinese chip manufacturer to rival the world leading providers from Silicon Valley.
