Every term, CentrePiece, the magazine of the LSE’s Centre for Economic Performance, features the latest policy-focused work from the world-renowned economics institute – and it is available free to teachers.

CentrePiece brings together the latest CEP research in articles suitable for A-level students. The upcoming issue due out in October covers subjects such as: AI and the future of work, how trade conflicts can benefit countries which aren’t directly involved, the rebuilding of Hiroshima and measuring the benefit of parks.

CEP researchers are interested in questions about how to make our economy more productive in a fair, sustainable and inclusive way. Our work covers labour markets, trade, education, wellbeing, economic growth and economic geography and it is regularly covered by the BBC, Financial Times, Economist, Guardian and others.

The magazine and individual articles are available on our website as pdf documents. And as the centre has a commitment to promoting economics to young people from all backgrounds, we are happy to send the printed CentrePiece magazine to teachers free of charge. Please note: we can offer one copy per teacher, posted to a school address.
