For those teachers looking for a quick activity to support a taster (or intro) session on economics, here's an updated version of a tutor2u favourite. 'Data Trumps' uses the the traditonal Top Trumps game format to show the economic performance indicators for a group of countries. Students compete to win their opponents cards by using the performance data shown. All data is the most up-to-date available as of posting, taken from the databank of the World Bank.
The downloadable zip folder includes the cards (for printing and cutting up), a Powerpoint slideshow to introduce the concept and explain the activity and some teacher instructions.
