This extended clip sees the World Bank Managing Director, Anna Bjerde, interviewing the Prime Minister of Bhutan about the country's development journey. Bhutan's economic focus is explicitly not about maximizing growth but a broader focus on Gross National Happiness, and combining economic and social progress. It's quite an interesting interview reflecting on how economic development has been associated with poverty reduction and the various factors that have helped, notably improvements in education and healthcare, and, its partnership with the World Bank.
