Manna from heaven for those people studying development economics, with this fantastic World Bank video clip highlighting the transformative power of electricity. The connection of the Senegalese village of Ndorong Serere to the electricity network has massively enhanced both economic growth and development, improving education and healthcare, promoting a higher level of economic activity and improving the standard of living for all households.
