As the UK's vote to leave the European Union took place after the 'new' A level specifications were written, issues such as doing business with a trading bloc or a customs union, and protectionism, remain firmly on the Business syllabus, in the areas of Global Business, External Environment and Strategic Change. Our future trading relationship with the customs union is still not clear, but will surely have an impact on UK businesses with a supply chain that spans the EU, or with customers inside the EU.

So this short video from the BBC which has 'Five steps to understanding the EU Customs Union' is a useful explainer of the impact that leaving such an arrangement could have on a business. Worth a look.
