Change in strategic focus for Uber

A change in strategic direction for Uber: in part because of changes in its external environment (legal & regulatory). But, also because of the pressure from investors to improve financial performance (i.e. curtail huge losses) ahead of a possible stock market listing. Will Uber lose strategic focus as a consequence?
