American politics updates

19th March 2008

Surfing the web this evening I came across a raft of excellent American politics stories from the BBC website.

These are ideal for any student wishing to beef up their knowledge and understanding of the subject in the run up to the summer exams. And a quick survey of these during lessons would be a great way for teachers to end the term.

First up are a trio of articles on the latest from Democratic campaign.

Barack Obama says race can’t be ignored.

Kevin Connolly from the BBC news team reports on the delegate battle

Then there is this great article from American politics expert Larry Sabato on the damage this race may be causing the party

Next up is this great article speculating who John McCain might choose as his running mate – this is particularly good since it contains a lot of factual detail that would be relevant to an answer on the vice presidency
