Hinduism is the third largest religion in the world with approximately 1.09 billion Hindus in the world. As a religion, it is a polytheistic religion as there are multiple gods that help to explain human behaviour and existence. However, there are fundamental Hindu groups such as the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) which believes India should be run with Hindu guidelines rather than secular lines.
