‘Let children play’: the educational message from across Europe

This article examines the 'schoolification' of UK childhood.

UK children are some of the most heavily tested throughout their education compared to other countries. Critics have argued that children should have more play time built into the school curriculum, and some governments have even advised against giving students homework.

The article could be used for the Education unit (childhood).
