Is bad data killing women?

Sarah Best

5th October 2020

This podcast from The Conversation investigates the data gender gap.

It examines the impact that data is not 'gender-blind', and that women are often ignored from the world of data. There is also a discussion about non-white women may be disadvantaged further.

This podcast could be used for the Theory and Methods unit (feminism, racism), but it could also be useful for the Research Methods unit as a number of concepts are discussed: objectivity vs subjectivity, quantitative vs qualitative data.
