According to the Office of National Statistics, people over the age of 70 made up 7.8% of the UK population in the 1960s. It is predicted that by 2066, this figure will have nearly tripled.
Life expectancy is affected by a number of factors, including a person’s lifestyle and their location. The article also compares the life expectancy rates of the UK with other countries such as France.
